About the Staff

My name is Cheri Renner Kutch and I am the owner and founder of the store! I was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska and didn't move to Florida until about 10 years ago. I am married to Frank Kutch (who you will often see around the store and even scrapping!) and I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter named Rena. I only started scrapbooking within the last 10 years and actually started with Creative Memories for five years. I like to think I lived those five years of my life in the dark because I had no idea how wide the possibilities for scrapbooking were! Once I started this store, my horizons were broadened and continue broadening every day! My favorite color is pink (as you will see in the store) and I would have to say my scrapbooking style can be described as "simple elegance". My favorite 'scraplebrity' is Tim Holtz and I must say that his line of Distress Inks absolutely changed my entire view on scrapping. I really love the way they add life to every page I do and bring out the best in my pictures. If I could pick one word to describe me I would say "lively" because I really just love life and love hearing about other people's lives!

Hi…I’m Terry, the resident card instructor and official bow maker at Scrappin’ Spot. I’ve always been a crafter. Fabric, flowers, beads…you name it. Hot glue was my adhesive of choice. Paper has always been a favorite medium, but it wasn’t until I walked into my local scrapbook store back in 2003 and took a card class that I fell in love. Mixing and matching colors and patterns is my favorite thing to do. Working at a scrapbook store as a card maker, I started scrapping by default. I would describe my style as funky.  I like a lot of layers and embellishments. Now if I could only finish my daughter’s baby book….

Hi...I'm Christina. I was born in Hahn, Germany AFB. I came to the US in '63 with my German speaking mother and my father being in the Air Force. I'm all about family and am married to a wonderful man and have 4 children and 4 beautiful grandchildren. They're my life. I've always loved art but never got to pursue my passion in the art world, so for me, scrapbooking is my form of art. I was a collector for quite some time, then I thought, pictures in a box...NAHHH they are WORTH scrapping. I walked into my local scrapbook store in '97 and have been hooked ever since. My style of scrapping is simple and clean. Don't get me wrong, I love to distress and a few of my favorite tools are my Revolution, Tim Holtz Ink Collection and TH Distress Tool. I absolutely love paper, flowers and anything in between! My family tells me it's an addiction. I simply say, maybe...maybe not...I call it gratification. However, in the end they love to see the results.

So I’m Katy, a nursing student and one of the newest members of the gang. I’m the artist behind all of the layouts you see in the store with the pictures of the cute boy on them (my boyfriend Erick frequents the store and is oftentimes the center of my work.) I am a lover of the color yellow and all things vintage.  I started scrapbooking when I was 13 and haven’t stopped. Scrapbooking to me, like all art forms, is a therapy; an indescribable creative release and an ultimate tool for self-expression. My scrap style, much like my fashion sense and taste in music, would probably be the equivalent of mixing dirt with glitter – I call it “girly grunge.” I let the paper speak to me and usually don’t choose a photo until after my layout is complete. Many people have called me a “backwards scrapper!” Even so, trying to predict what my next layout will look like would be like trying to guess the next song on my iPod—not even I could tell you.

Hi...I'm Kelli. I am all about my faith and my family. I have been scrapbooking since the days of cutting letters out of magazines. My first scrapbook is close to 20 years old! Currently, I am in love with Tim Holtz and anything distressed or vintage. I look forward to teaching some technique driven classes and having fun at Friday crops.
